Minutes of June 10. 2006 clan meeting.

DOU CLAN MEETING JUNE 10, 2006

1. Chicken will not be around a lot for a while for personal reasons. We all wish him the best and await his return.

2. Practice Server:

• Want to get all trained to use Super Web Administrator (SWA).

• Email or PM Tommy if you want to learn how to do it.

• It is all set up for FN but they have not shown interest in using it. They know it is available and we are waiting for them.

3. FN Ladder:

• Each time you play the same opponent you receive progressively less points.

• After 10 matches you also start receiving fewer points per win.

• When Alpha and Omega are playing, it is O.K. to come into Team Speak and listen in. Please just keep quiet so as not to interrupt the flow of their game.

• For practice purposes Talon and Draco have converted the maps so that the spawn points glow red and the teleporters glow green. Big thanks to both Talon and Draco for their hard work.

• They will now start working on marking the movers (elevators etc).

• General discussion on where to put the practice maps. It was determined that it would be best to put them on the Practice Server. Due to limitations with SWA it will be necessary to do a hard boot to change it over for FN practice with them.

• General discussion on setting up some scheduled Practices with both Alpha and Omega. We will play each other and use the maps that are scheduled for the up coming matches.

• Because of all of the connection to server problems, Tommy is making a base install package for the ladder. He will zip it and send it to everyone in the ladder. This should only be used for play in the ladder.

4. Deemer Server:

• Discussion on how much traffic it gets.

• With everything going on it has been neglected.

• Tommy is going to put up some new maps, make some changes, and look into some of the thing Hermskii does in an effort to increase traffic.

5. Sniper Server:

• It is being set up for both DM and TDM. Because of this each map will have a DM and TDM version in the map vote. In order to keep the size of the map vote list manageable, there will be two or three sets of 100 maps. We will adjust from there. These will be rotated each month. All DOU and HTR maps will be in each set as will all of our favorite maps. Please let Tommy know if you have a “must have favorite” and he will make sure it is in all map sets.

• Bunny Foo Foo 5 is installed.

• We will soon be using Map Vote LA. General discussion on different kind of map votes. If you know if a site with a good map vote send Tommy the IP so he can check them out to see how they may work for us.

• The headshot sounds are being brought back. They can be customized. Let Tommy know if you have a custom sound you would like to see used.

• ALMP actor will be used. It is being tried out on the practice server to get it working right first.

• There is a need to change the server rules. There is also a need for all of us to help enforce the rules. A thread will be started in the Building the perfect beast section of the forum to discuss what rules we need. Some of the ones brought up were: No image drop, No tele camping, No R&G, and No chasing down spawners. Rules will be posted on the Welcome screen you get each time you log in. There is one out there with a click on “I agree” button. If you know of this please send Tommy the IP.

• We are also going to bring the UZI server back online. This will not be in LMS mode. This time it will be DM.

• We are also looking into other styles of play for our servers such as Low Gravity, Jail Break, Dr Strangelove, etc… A Thread will be started on the forum for this also.

DOU ONLY SECTION

1. Other Matches:

• There was a discussion as to whether of not to have grudge or scrimmage matches with other clans right now. We are going to set one up with DMF and see how it goes. A thread will be started to gauge interest.

• We are also going to put forth an effort to keep up and increase the DOU vs. DOU style matches involving other clans. We will use the school yard style team assignments so as to mix up both clans on each team. If you know of a clan that fits our style of play please let Charger know.

2. Recruits:

• A discussion as to whether SoReal is ever going to join. The feeling is she will eventually.

• Talon and Churchsyn. There are no problems everyone thinks they are good guys.

3. In General:

• All of the moodiness has to stop. Being on line and venting has to stop. All of the touchy feely crap has to stop. All of the drama has to stop.

If you have a chip on your shoulder or are in a pissy mood just disconnect and come back when you are in a good place.

We do not need all of the negativity on our servers and in our forum.

4. Ugliness:

• Discussion and over view of the events leading up to and including this week’s problem of Charger erroneously sending a mass E-mail of a scouting report from Jarg on FCS to all forum users and not just Omega.

This has put DOU in a bad light with the UT community. Tommy was not asked to ref. any matches this weekend and all teams are playing. The feeling is that DOU’s character is now in question.

• There will be no mass E-mails done without Tommy’s prior approval.

• Anything to do with Jarg does not come into the DOU. Nothing he is doing is to come into DOU.
