Nuker, Skully, Avenger and myself went into the map and experimented.
We each hid in the spots in question and then attempted to see each other from various vantage points.
From the side, below and blocks on the same level... you are able to see players hiding there.
It is only from the highest points on the map that it is near impossible to see players standing there.
So... it would be good to have a judgement call made by the admins as to whether these spots on kitty-corners of the map are valid camping spots.
Avenger seems to think it's ok. Nuker states everyone hides there.
I was unaware that there is actually one vantge point (highest points on the map)... that a player camping there is near impossible to see.
So.. admins? Can we get a judgement call or have a clan vote on this issue?
Althou troll has stated what i thought, i am open to admin handling it or a clan vote.

If I happen to see anyone whining about it in-game they will be warned and if necessary, booted.

Thanks guys. I appreciate that. It frikkin bugs my ass when people try and say I am cheating or deliberately using an exploit.
Problem is that no one realy seems to know what this is all about.
The problem here is we need a 'Hide 'n Peek' mod on the server. There are spots on several maps where you can camp, but where you are invisible to other players. It is a mistake that we dont have that mod on our server. All other servers do have it.
The spot which Uglytroll uses is such a spot.
Camping on such a spot I call a cheat.
i dont call Uglytroll a cheater though, because it isnt his fault we dont have a 'Hide 'n Peek' mod on our server.
But again, we realy do need one.
I see several people giving their comment on this topic, while they realy dont seem to have a clue whats realy going on.

Install it on the server and the problem of being just invisible is solved.
I'm not talking invisible in the way the invisible shield works, but you just cant see a player at all on those spots.
You cant shoot what you cant see do you?

I wouldn't go that far as booting a player who's complaining about that.
The issue is not as simple as stated in your answer.
It's far more complicated. Booting a player while he has a good reason to complain will not solve this.
If someone is image dropping and calls a player on it, we wouldnt boot that one to, do we?
Not having this 'Hide 'n Peek' mod on the server is the real issue where this is all about. Thats the real problem.

I am standing there right in the centre where the scope is pointed at. You cant realy see me, do you? Thats what the trouble is when you dont have a 'hide 'n peek' mod on the server.
I wouldnt call that fair.

I'm glad you're trying to convince the others about installing the HideNPeek-mod. It's a glitch in the game just like image-dropping. It's not cheating, but I do think you're abusing flaws in the game (just like you would with image-dropping).
Spots like windows (like people get 15-0 in InfinityCity just by standing in front of the window) isn't really 'legit camping'.

Thx, but not for me. I stopped playing in our server for a while. We are a lot trying to get better maps, better mods like Hide and Peek, and other stuff like new sounds, scopes and so. But our good intentions are not enough unfortunatelly... 😕

DOU has had a server for years and suddenly it's an issue.
I don't care if the mod is installed or not.
I don't care if people use the camping spots in question or not.
What I'm getting at is if somebody has an issue they can address it here on the forum without starting the in-game bullshit which screws it up for everyone.
Issues about server improvements in our forum are useless. You know.
