I don't think it really matter's what it's suppose to be as long as the tech work's properly.

I think the intent is to design a robo-mule that could follow troops over terrain wheeled vehicles couldn't go. The power plant is a bit noisy, sounds like a chainsaw motor. It did remind me of a swarm of flies though. Always a problem with real mules. π
Imagining the programming that went into that. Detect slip and put the legs in the right spot to counter it. Detect tip or push and react to it like a reflex. Pretty hard jobs when you think about them. Organic creatures have the reflexes and wetware built in. π
If I seen it in the woods I'd have to shoot it
