I agree Otis, that acoustic guitar always did sound like some kind of a Jimi Hendrix rift and that was the first thing i ever noticed about this song, which is probably why i like it so much.
these vids should satitisfy you Abber:
Im going to post a vid of two guys playing the song instead of the band because i think they play it pretty well and the drummer is funny. Also i hate the lyrics and the band, but its a good technical song (his facial expression is great)

and as for guitar solos, my personal favorite and the one that i enjoy playing the most because i enjoy the way it feels on my fingers and the way it sounds is of coarse Whole Lotta Love. Its and easy solo to pull but again it sounds to me cool as hell.

Then another i enjoy is the solo Jimmy added to the Moby Dick
I dont play this one as much because it requires you to drop you E string to a D and im just to lazy to waste 5sec of my life and tune. BTW if your into drum solos, this one is a fun one to listen to, and the video is cool too (seen it many times) ROCK ON BONZO!!!

Then Some Blackened (I love the drums in this one, but I like adding a few fills every time the Guitar rift starts rapidly changes notes (hard to exsplain when this is) but i prefer the way i drum it.

And there is no such thing as a good guitar solo without having ERUPTION!

And i will go ahead and add in some Randy Rhoads

The Bow Solo.
I pull out my violin bow sometimes and play some bar chords or on my e but i cant play like Jimmy does because he has a rounded bridge allowing for him to play on each string with out hitting the others kind of like a Violin, Viola, Cello, and Double Bass. i of coarse do not smack the bow and ruin all the hoarse hair on it like he does though cause i got Orchestra everyday and if my teach saw that he would probably die.
Good God Rev - get out the popcorn - that's a whole lotta youtube!

Eruption Guitar Solo--Eddie Van Halen :peace_v:
My cd version isn't that long
Zakk and Black Label Society
Week: 5
Song: Gouge Away
Album: Doolittle
Artist: The Pixies
Very well written lyrics, i would have never guessed it had anything to do with the Old Testament until i read a short comment about the song.
Anyways... great dynamics and a catchy melody.
Pixies are the SHIT! If you ever have the opportunity get the Live BBC album.
Check out the Breeders too a twisted version of the Pixies - and not just Last Splash - they had 3 more albums that were awesome. And a movie called "MAY" - all Breeders Music was the in the soundtrack.
Week: 6
Song: Coming Undone
Album: See you on the other side
Artist: Korn
Nice!
Freak on a Leash is my personal fave.

Shoots & Ladders man, Shoots and Ladders
I have this project in my orchestra class and im presenting on monday.
The project consists of picking a song to share with the class, and describe what attracts you to the song and why. Also you have to explain the lyrics as well as describe the musical composition.
Anyways... im have already picked my song and i want to use it as my song of the week here too, but i can just post it in the middle of the forum because it is a bootleg version of the song from a Zeppelin Concert and i dont want anyone to leak it over the internet because it, and all the other songs that are part of that one nights gig, are very special to me. So i am only going to send it to people who pm me.
btw the song is HeartBreaker with what i think is a variation on Feeling Groovy by Simon and Garfunkel and Bouree ( very famous classical guitar piece ) by J.S. Bach (who is my fav composer btw and it is my fav of th classical pieces i have learned to play) worked into the extended solo. It makes for a cool mix.
Bouree

i apologies for this mans playing (he makes quite a few mistakes in the piece) but this had the best sound quality from the videos i looked at.
Feelin Groovy

what i meant was tell me here and i will pm it to you. got myself confused there
