It's winter in Wisconsin
And the gentle breezes blow,
70 miles per hour at 52 below!
Oh, how I loveWisconsin
When the snow's up to your butt.
You take a breath of winter air
And your nose is frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful,
I guess I'll hang around.
I could never leave Wisconsin ,
'Cause I'm frozen to the ground.
My most memorable trip back home was in 1999. Temperature was -27 for weeks. 1/2 inch of ice on the hotel windows. Ice crystals falling out of clear blue sky, sparkling in the sunlight. The day before I left to go back to California the temperature rose to 12 degrees. Everyone was running around, practically in shorts, talking about Indian Summer. 🙂
