Ha, ha, ha! That, my friend, is a proverbial can-o-worms and there are actually many different ways it can be used. But I think this version, which I found in Wikipedia, is what is meant here.....

Country and Southern Rock bands such as Lynyrd Skynyrd figure in as their preferred genre of music. Redneck men also listen to other Southern Rock and Metal such as the Allman Brothers, Ted Nugent, ZZ Top, Pantera, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, and Guns n' Roses.
Redneck females are generally portrayed as highly sexual. "Daisy dukes" are a name for the extremely small shorts worn by Daisy Duke, on the wildly popular television program "The Dukes of Hazzard".
Rednecks are often portrayed as lacking education or being ignorant."
Yeah, I don't think there's much more I can add to that...except that Rednecks are also stereotypically regarded as racsists and occasionally prone to having sex with other family members. I would also add that Rednecks are definitely not confined to the Southern States. You can find them in almost any rural area in the U.S.

I like all those too, (well, I'll pass on ZZ Top) but I think you have to pretty much need to like all those things listed above to be considered one.

I'm going to see Motley Crue with a bunch of rednecks on Sunday . I've seen many many concerrts in my life, it's one of my passions... I used to work in video, run lights for bands, blak blak, blah...in Denver, CO... music was there for me a lot when my mom or my dad wasn't, which was since I was 1 year old.... I'm really only going because someone bought this for me already. but I am a huge fan of music...I don't have as many boundaries as most people do about many things... music, being only one of those. I'm a busy body type, hehe...always on the go, hard working, I'm more the music/video producer, director, writer, lighting director, designer, builder, kind of guy myself lsince I have a degree in the Music and Video Business..have many interests, etc I hope I am not perverted... no incest has ever come my families way that I know of thank goodness.
Now ask me why I have started my own, small construction business.... 😳 ...I really dont know sometimes... I should be making videos for rednecks to watch...hehe... or be producing some favorite band of rednecks.... hehe.... But I have seen those type of people from time to time around here... I myself have felt trapped most of my life.
There is not enough time to put in words how much I could tell you guys about.. non-redneck related stuff....hehe ...my 4 years in a Combat Heavy Engineer unit showed me a lot... an to tell you the truth... I bet most of you guys here would much rather want to be around (live amongst) your average rednecks down South vs living with some other stereotypes I bet is in that Wikipedia ....hehe... you'd all be clawing at the door.
I did just move into a brand new trailer in a nice trailer court..hehe until I can can find a place to build a small home...hehe..
I like all those bands pretty much as well. I'm into all kinds of music.
got Confederate flag in my room, no guns, no obsene t shirts (well, one)...no tobacco can in my jeans ..hehe.....hair is just normal, male short...clean cut...drink occasionally...BUD, BUD Light, others...no cheap real beer...hehe... I don't drink that much at all....just splurge every now and then...
I used to go hunting with my stepdad..gave it up around age 17 because I couldn't stand killing something after I killed 2 deer... one was all tramatic and everything for me...hehe (it watched me, and I watched it..as it died)and, honselty, I hated the terrible conditions we would wind up in (way too wet,cold, stinky,etc)...hehe
I HATE wrestling, racing, and most sports..... it's all so over rated.
Some redneck chicks are very hot. so?....hehe..... some are not for sure
I love fishing havent had a good trip in a couple years.
Broken families and hard times on everybody certainly helped shape some of these people's lives. I can tell you from being on the inside. 😉

he gets mad casue I tease him that Vince Neil can't sing...hehe and he really cant too much but on a very few songs in his range...

The guitarist has a very life threatening conditon and I think they are doing it for him too. He can still play so far.

I like Motleys old stuff. I grew up in the 80's. I like all the old 'hair" bands. Still good to hear them once in a while. Mix 'em in with some Korn, Disturbed, Seven Dust and Manson and I'll be happy 8)
