Anyone have a specific program that works for making a custom skin? I Have tried UTSM but im guessing it doesnt work anymore.. Ive done alot trying to fix it but it wont find any meshes to preview the 3D model. Help will be very Appreciated =)
I use photoshop to actually edit the graphics, however you've gotta have a program to unpack and pack the skins. I had one, but i can't remember where it's at.

I've tried it before but didn't get started with it.
I did get this info from {DOU}HappyFnCamper at the time:
You need UTSkinmaker also called UTSM for just skinin. Get this version UT_Skinmaker_2.41
Then get WOTgreal to pull skins, scripts, textures & meshes... Get version WOTgreal V3.005
Then high quality image software... or freebe do better than MS Paint (tho for real basic textures its ok...) The more detail you want the better the prog I guess.
I just started usin Paint.net last year. Wish I had it way back when I made skins and weaps. The ammo box letters would kick ass if I used this prog (maybe I'll redo the sniper now that I got this). It does well for lettering in skins & textures - just need to hook up more fonts for it... it also needs spray gun tool... but its free. I'm still lookin for better free prog. I had Gimp... seemed a lot to always click to set up.
Get version Paint.Net V3.36
That should get ya started... All Progs mentioned are free
