man i tell you what,monday morning my waterheater broke,and leaked water in my living room and my carpet was soaked ,and my wood trim around the living room might have to be replaced , .i spaent all nite last nite sucking the water out of the carpet and this moning thheir was more water leaking into the living room so i am still cleaning wish i was sniping right about now , but i have to take care of this ,and to top it all off i have no hot water until i buy another new water heater. i feel like going postal right about now lol 😳
Had that happen to me. Insurance paid for everything but the water heater.

Bummer 😕 Make sure you get that carpet and everything dried out good so you don't end up with a mold issue.

had a toilet line break, did the same to me. You will need to get all the moisture out of the carpet and padding below or your home will smell like a dirty sock.
You can rent equiptment for this or pay one of those disaster cleanup companies to do it for you.
Just make sure you act right away.

should also get a dehumidifier point it at all the walls for a hour at a time then adjust....

Well speaking of plumbing I have a leak in my foundation of the house and have to replumb everything. going to rerout through the attic. Hope the insurance pays some. Good thing I have a good Plumber. Right Plumber. 😛
