There seems to be problems arrise from the connectivity with IRC chat channels within the gamesurge networks...
I used the IRC chat channels for years ever since about 1995...
If there is any information on this or finding a more stable chat network please let me know...

I recently registered a channel with my bro and it was going well but then we both got disconnected. I can't connect to any of the GameSurge servers as it just says "Unable to connect to server (Connection timed out)" and keeps retrying. I can connect to other networks just fine however.

This is most likely due to a DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack on the network. They occur every once in a while, and lately we've seen more than usual (from my perspective). Have patience; you'll be able to connect to GameSurge again at some point after the attack ceases or is blocked by the routing team.
On a side note, I just used the spell check button for the first time and was surprised that 'GameSurge' shows up as a misspelled word...

Olympus is the only server still up and is barely holding up against the DDoS attacks...
Your client may not be compatible with this server.
