Damn, I was hoping you just ran out

Not likely.....But since you're interested, I found one just for you....

I never would have guessed you had anything in common with a Ferry.

I was 10 years old when Lake Superior claimed this behemoth.

I hope the 29 souls who perished with her are at peace.

Been reading up on some ancient history stuff lately. Here's some ancient Greek ship links.

Here's a very good site on the subject with lots of related links:

Hans Langsdorff was in the wrong place at the right time. He was an honorable man who's country was unfortunately taken over by evil men. Too bad he couldn't have been born a Yank or a Brit.

My dad who was in his mid-20's at the time once told me that he listened to the live broadcast of the end of the Graf Spee's historic chase. I believe the broadcast he listened to was the first of it's kind.

Here's the links to the ill-fated "pocket" Battleship, the.......

Those are great stories. I can't help it, I have long been astounded by the Edmund Fitzgerald tragedy. I recently was able to get that cool song about it finally in from Limewire from some person with a fairly slow modem. πŸ™„ But since this thread has some cool new life, heck I thought I would just throw it all up here when I was bored tonight http://www.bringersofdeath.org/miscellaneous.htm check it out yall

I've heard of ships being lost due to a phenomenon called the bermuda triangle but there seems to be the samething in Lake Ontario...

Anyone know of any myths related to many of ships going down in action???

Possibly something about a singing Siren or something?

I remember reading something about there six bermuda Triangle type areas on the earth. If I recall correctly they are paired up in exact opposition.

B.T. is the most well known because of the amount of traffic that goes through it.

Yes, I seem to recall reading something of that nature when I was in my teens. Personally, I think it was just a bunch of hype to capitolize on the Burmuda Triangle. And speaking of the Bermuda Triangle, read a book by a guy named Charles Berlitz. He did a pretty good job of debunking most of those stories.

What kind of myths are you referring to? By "in action" do you mean military or are you referring to merchant ships?

As for the Sirens.....they go back pretty far.....
