Moon, you are a Frenchie, so it is just assumed that you drink wine like a fish drinks water, lol.

If so, I am curious as to what you like. I have recently re-discovered the joy's of wine (I am half in the bag right now, lol). Myself, I prefer a dry wine (I never cared too much for sweet alcohol). I am drinking a burgundy right now. I definitely like red wine more then white, but I will occassionally indulge in a crisp California white. But give me a New York red anytime!

Maybe someday you could mail me a nice French wine and I would send you a nice New York bottle. 🙂 Just a thought, lol. How about a bottle of 1982 cristal, lol, that should only cost you about 1000 US, hahahaha. Seriously though, I am not much of a champagne drinker. Even brut is too sweet for me.

Talk to me baby!

Tommy

P.S. "Half in the bag" is an American expression for half-intoxicated. And actually, I am more like 3/4 in the bag. 🙂

LOL, you're right for that too Tommy !... I drink red wine like others drink soda. I love the right with the right recipe !...

And, I'm a bit like you : I prefer red wine than white wine. (and now, white wines burn my pipes inside so I've no choice : red only !!!)

"Champagne" is not considered as a wine but as a drink for festivities and for ladies before or/and after a meal.

But I drank some really good Zinfandel in California !.. And there were some nice Cabernet-Sauvignon at my friend's house !

He's a chef in La Jolla Marine Room (North San Diego) and he knows which are the good wines in usa !

So, remember when you're half in the bag, franchies are "a moitié bourré"

(say Ah mwat yeah boo rey) 😀

Otherwise, I didn't understand what is a New York red !... Is there good red wine in New York ? 🙄

When I was i CA, I noticed that you can't drink a good wine under about 20$ or 25$ US !... Same quality and taste in France costs about 10$ US.

California is an expensive coutry !... But really sweet time there !

I had a girl friend in Orange (LA) close to Long Beach !... Nice souvenirs !

So, hope one day we could drink some good wine around the same table !... May be we could travel together with Darkmatter ?!... 😛 😀

I like a vintage 2006 Mad Dog 20/20 myself. 😆 Did you know if you hold a bottle of Mad Dog up to a black light it turns a toxic sludge green color? 😈

Actually, champagne is made by taking 2 different white wines, combining them, and then fermenting them a 2nd time. But yes, I would never consider drinking it regularly.

New York produces some of the best wines in the world. Everybody not from the area always thinks of New York as New York City, but there is a whole lot more to that state then the big apple. 🙂 Next time I am there maybe I'll find a good bottle for you. 🙂

Then why are you so sour all the time 😛

LadyB likes wine, but I prefer tequila & beer or sometimes an ice cold mixer does the job :peace_v:
