I would like to tell you, that in Poland Santa Claus is called Swięty Mikołaj (Saint Nicholas). He visits us on December 6. He gives gifts in different ways. Usually, when the bed is made, put them under a pillow. Santa is coming to well-behaved children through the door. Gifts for them takes out of the sack. Naughty children generally also receive gifts, but also get the rod as a warning.
Christmas in Poland is celebrated on December 25 and 26. But very important is Christmas Eve (24th Dec.), it is celebrated in a circle of immediate family. We sit at a table, on which is 12 different meatless dishes. Under the Christmas tree are gifts. We give them to each other for Christmas.
Customs associated with Christmas is more, but the ones I remember from my childhood and strive to follow tradition.
I would like to wish you, you will always during the holidays were with your beloved family and true friends.
