No Shadow Cheat

Apparently Jazz - it's a setting that you can edit in your UT System folder that takes away any shadows that appear due to dynamic light. Therefore revealing hiding campers.

I've personally never been one with a need to go and find out anything more about it other than what I've heard other people say.

The majority of the people in our clan have integrity if not all of us. There is no group mentality here that encourages cheating in any way.

HH is a highly toxic personality that expends far too much of his energy seeking the attention, acceptance and approval of people and personalities that he has never met and never will in an online alter reality. More than likely he lives a life that would make our skin crawl. Possibly lonely to the point that he acts out in way socially that makes other people around him uncomfortable and cautious. Obsessive and lacking moral fiber, he may often take on the martyr roll and portray himself as a victim. Mal-adjusted and paranoid he probably blames other people for his feelings of contempt and loss to the point of fabricating lies and misconceptions - possibly a sociopath.

I would treat his behavior much like an adult would treat a pouting 3 year-olds' temper tantrum. Just ignore him and he will eventually tire himself out.

Minky discover this....Under windows 7 with some old opengl driver and ati radeon hd make this posible, but other textures change and Some maps are very psychedelic and become unplayable.

FF, Thank you so much for the explanation. I know that none of us here would ever contribute to his level of hipocracy. Your answer was honest and well thought out. I appreciate that. Again, thank you for clearing this up for all of us here and many more that visit our server and forum but choose not to identify themselves. It is important to the UT community that they know they can come here and have an honest gameplay experience and that fun and truth is at the heart of DOU!!!!!

I never see the map like the second pic...

Really I see it darker than the first one...( I have a trouble with brightness)

If players were using it, they would win so fast and easy.

the only players that win fast and easy are visitors.

yeah i consider this tweak to be type of cheat although its not a typical one in that it does not auto aim or find people for you. you still need to find people and rely on your own aim and skill to get kills. what it does do though is take dark maps (which are regularly played on DOU server) and make them bright so you can find everyone more easily, especially those wearing the dark skins thinking they are hidden in the shadows.

The following players from DOU were caught using this tweak on ZSZ server in Feb '09:

Abberation was also caught using it if you scroll to the very bottom of the topic. Coincidentally this was the same week he applied to join DOU!

This is what HH is on about probably.

2 things here.

First, this is not a hack. Even Pure does not classify it as a cheat. All it does is allow anyone who uses Direct X to be on a level playing field with people who use OpenGL drivers (Those drivers brighten the screen in almost the same way). So, is everybody who uses OpenGL cheating (about 90% of players these days)? It does not surprise me that this would come from ZSZ. One of their admins has a stick up their ass about DOU and has for awhile. Sorry we get more traffic.

Second, why do you still come around here? You were welcomed here but decided on your own to burn your bridges, nobody did anything to you. After you were tossed you decided to go on an almost daily rampage of general asshole-ness for over a year now. You really have nothing better to do? Your anti-social behavior leads me to the conclusion that you have an emotional disability. There is help out there, you just need to want it. Maybe today will be the day that you decide to get that help so you can one day return as a productive member of society instead of just being the scum-bag that you are now.

Otis appearently did not know about this as well as very many DOU members.But Draco already posted the forum s website and Pub put a picture for all to see what kind of different it does to a map.

If Tommy did not talk about a ZSZ member[[It does not surprise me that this would come from ZSZ. One of their admins has a stick up their ass about DOU and has for awhile. Sorry we get more traffic.]] i would care less about this topic as almost 99% experienced players already know this about DOU admins having used this last year and got caught.

So I am expecting a post from Tommy about the same way Draco received...Shut your mouth and leaveit alone or i will delete all your messages 😀

You know when you get caught of a crime,if you admit you did it,they usually give you few years less than original crime.If you have admitted it at first place that you and few admins of your team used it and not actsay its not a cheat and all that shit people would leave it alone.

Leave ZSZ alone and do whatever the hell you want with your clan and server.
