Well, as some of you know LadyB and I have a White Boxer named Beau James. He was a year old in May. Well, she just called me about an hour or so ago and asked if we could get a year old Great Dane :eek2: Why did I say yes
I know she has wanted one for a while now and this one is free
Anyone else have a Dane out there ❓ Any tips on the long legged bastards would be appreciated
I'll post some pix of the tards when we get him (supposidly on Sat.).
......oh yeah, and whether or not we are all living in harmony after he arrives too 😛
I had a Great Dane growing up. They are my favorite dogs. Big and gentle and not demanding (yet very protective of their owners). Don't overfeed them even though you think they should eat alot because of their size. Take that dog for a walk and nobody will even think of bothering you. 😀

We stick to a pretty tight feeding w/our boxer so it shouldn't be a problem.

Point taken 😛
Can't help you on the Dane but I got 3 boxers. I love boxers! A great breed.

Yup, like I said we have a pure breed white one. We think he is slightly retarded 😛 but we still love him
You should still be able to find his puppy pix in the members area ❓
Too bad you live 1800 miles away. The wife has been looking for a white male to breed with this retard.
She looks funny because she is in the middle of eating. She really is a sweetheart.

Too late anyway, his boys were gone @ like 3 months old 😈
Beau looks like a little runt compared to most I have seen. He's was only 56 lbs. @ his last vet visit. We got one a couple blocks down the road that weighs in @ 100 or 110 cant remember which it is.
I wouldn't worry about his size. Boxer males really don't starting bulking-up and gaining weight until they are between 18 mos and 2 years.
Here is the retards parents: Magi and Midas. Midas didn't start gaining in size until he was 2. Now he weighs almost 90 pounds. Both of them were rescues and have turned-out to be the best dogs I've ever owned.
This was the shape Magi came to us in. Someone burned her real bad.
I'm going to shut up now because I could ramble forever over my canine kids. Have a good one.

One of my good friend's mother breeds boxers. Those little puppies are so cute.
I also have two Boxers, Thunder and Lightning. They are brothers and about 8 years old. Thunder has had some health probs recently, a stroke and then an accack of some kind. If I did not know animal CPR we would have lost him this past Sat.
I did have a dane years ago, contrary to most popular beliefs they do not need to run around much. They are actually perfect appartment dogs.
I have had the opprotunity to have a few rescued animals also. They all have turned out to be some the greatest family members I have had. I think once abused they really respond to care and affection. They are some of the most loving and loyal animals I have had.
Those Boxers are bad assed like those dogs!
Danes are cool as well but I would hate to have to poop scoop for them!
I understand
Danes don't live a super long time, told their hearts give out,
but they are gentle and sweet..
that and ppl won't mess with you walking that horse!
This is a block of text that can be added to posts you make. There is a 255 character limit
Here are our 2 retards...
Here is the new tard by himself...

Boxers have short life spans as well. They are prone to tumors and cancer 🙁

Some have been known to live up to 15 years. I had a black lab that lived to 14 even though they typically only live to about 12. So you never know.
