O.K., we are up to 14 confirmed dead in Turkey with over 100 more in hospitals clinging to life. This is just Turkey, it looks like it has spread all over the East and is heading to Africa.

It is now widely believed that China is lying about the number of cases within it's borders (it is much higher then they would have you believe).

I honestly don't know what to make of this. The news outlets are doing a great job of scaring the shit out of everyone (gotta sell those papers, you know), but that aside, this may start to become a valid worry for all of us. I guess time will tell. But unlike Sars that pretty much didn't do anything at all, this one is already starting to kill a lot of people.

Check this out: Mad Cow disease, Avian (bird) flu, mercury laced fish, cancer causing pesticides on our fruits and veggies, chlorine and flouride in our drinking water... Yup, we're boned!

The first three to die were siblings. They think that they cought it playing with chickens(true). We may be in trouble. As for me I'm not playing with Chicken any more just to be safe. 😈

Just put on a surgical mask and wash your hands with anti-bacterial soap before you come into the server. You'll be fine, probably. 😀

I have to be extra carefull. They say that kids and the old are at high risk. So being an old kid puts me right up there at the top. 😆

I might have to get a full bio suit.

Come to think of it, I have had a slight cough since my tryst with that flamingo in Miami. :smileysex5:

I think it's a very valid concern, but perhaps it is being overstated. It will be a serious issue and a fair number of people will die. However, it can be managed provided we are accurately informed.

The Center for Disease Control has released a list of symptoms of bird flu. If you experience any of the following, please seek medical treatment immediately:

1. High fever

2. Congestion

3. Nausea

4. Fatigue

5. Aching in the joints

6. An irresistible urge to crap on someone's windshield.

Only the dead see the end of war.
