This summer there is a new tournament coming to Unreal Tournament and everyone on this forum is invited to take part in it.
THE UNREAL TOURNAMENT WORLD CUP 2009
Most tournaments are based on clans but this tournament will be different. This tournament is based on international players and not clans. This means that every player in the UT community can take part and not just those players at large clans. It does not matter where in the world you are from or what skill level you are at, there is a team waiting for you to be a part of. The largest countries will be submitting multiple teams so please do not be put off if you don’t think you would make your country’s first team.
This has the potential to be one of the best ever tournaments in UT, where players of all skills from all clans can play together and have fun.
We are aiming to start this tournament in July or August 09. This gives everyone plenty of time to sign up, register to represent their country, organise the teams and ensure we have all the necessary resources in place.
There has already been a large amount of interest from the european clans and i am spreading the world amungst the american clans.

hey guys and gals,
just to give this a bit of a bump and keep you all informed - the general rules for the tournament have now been posted.
we are now asking for refs to come forward and sign up. any players still wishing to take part who have not already registered still have time to do this but the later you leave it the less input opportunities there are to ensure your voice is heard.
any map requests are also still welcome because we will be looking to finalise the list over the coming weeks.
i look forward to seeing you all soon and hopefully a few more of you registered on the forum 😀

Unfortunately we've had a glitch behind the scenes on the forum and we've had to revert back to an earlier back up. as a result we've lost the last few weeks of data. therefore, if you have registered or signed up to play in the past month, can you please check to see if your account is still there. One more update for you all. The general tournament format has now been completed. The map list is being finalised and so we are now getting very close to starting 😀
I now need all teams to nominate a team captain (or captains). The reason for this is explained on the forum. I have created a private area for every team so that you can discuss whatever you want in total privacy from every other team. I do ask though that you do not post anything that is rude/offensive or that could get the site shut down. These areas are private from everyone, including admin unless I change our permissions, and so they are not moderated. Therefore please use the area with respect. Thank you!

dont forget that you need to "sign up" once on the forum in order to become eligible to play. and please sign up with your tag where possible so i can easily distinguish between bots and actual players. i've deleted a few genuine players by mistake over the last few months 😳 lol
I have posted a little tutorial in our members only section on how to sign up. i hope that we can have several players from our clan join 😀
