When I try to x-loc to high places, often my x-loc will change into the gun and I will end up firing into the air. I even turned off the function of the wheel button, thus the only two buttons left on the mouse should be fire and alt-fire...yet after x-locking up a wall x2, the gun pops out once again...
Any ideas? π―
could there be something a miss on that line of code in the ini file?
Itβs nothing wrong in your folder or with your Mouse, its just a typical human error.
When you try to x-loc up to high places its all a matter of timing. You have to wait longer before you spawn and use your x-loc again. Best way to time your x-loc is to count. Trow your x-loc in the air and count (1 x-loc, 2 x-loc, 3 x-loc). Switch your x-loc on his highest point. Make it into a time sequence. After your third switch wait a little longer and you will be able to make another three time x-loc sequence again.
I get to the highest places on the maps using my x-loc six times in a row that way. Also important is to use your gravity boots and stay chrouched because this will soften your landing. Be aware that you always fall back when you use your x-loc this will get you on higher spots.
I can help you improve the use of your x-loc if you want. The practice server is just great for that. We also have a x-loc practice server.
does that explain why the gun comes out on the third +3 x-loc?

Yes, it does. Although its rather strange that it only seems to occur when using the x-loc on the way up to a spot. You will notice that when you do the same thing when you use it to go to a spot in a horizontal way it hardly ever happens, unless you switch your x-loc realy fast.
Practice will make a lot of difference.
When I'm playing in game and use the x-loc to get on real high places, I'm more stressed when I'm under fire and therefor it will upset my timing to use the x-locator. My sniper rifle will pop out more because of that situation. The trick is always to stay calm and try timing to switch your x-loc at the right moment.
Just try my advice here and you will notice it will help a lot.
Sloppy mouse technique amplified by the way the engine works in-game. You must click each mouse button individually. If you click them at the same time (often happens when wound up), the game automatically switches you to best weapon which, in this case, is the sniper rifle.
Solution: Listen to NATAN. :pai:

All above is true, but remain calm, when they are shooting at you.
I think it is an easier way below
Like posted above, i find if i get excited and start toggling between fire and alt fire to quickly the gun comes out and ruins the moment. LOL
I hate it when the moment gets ruined...

kitty we also have an xloc server if you are interested in working on it. ip is
