Does anyone know if there is a way to switch off the flash light in UT99, I am certain it can be done and I am pretty sure I have seen a player do it in game.
It's not a major issue, just one of those things that could do with an answer 🙂
WORTH IT!
I thought it was something that can be set when they put the light in the map, because in some maps it lasts a while and shuts off, and some it never does until you die. Never seen a way to turn it off.

If you turn dynamic lighting off, you can't see that you have the flashlight when you accidentally pick it up. I've actually gone an entire map with it and never realized it until someone told me I had it. I think it's the psychological portion of it that says flashlight=instant death. Here is a tip: if you turn off dynamic lighting, you won't see the flashing lights anymore on the maps that could cause epileptic seizures.
