Wow! I don't think I have the yaggas to fly something like that. And ppl think I'm nuts to fly a Vampire. Those engines look like little single cyl KFM's and I doubt that plane flies too well if one goes out. Obviously has an inverted fuel system. I had to rig mine that way so I could fly upside down without sputtering outl. I would imagine that plane has like NO glide ratio at all lol! But isn't it surprising how fast it is? I guess I'm just used to seeing planes that size come with remote controls or at least strings lolol. There were several of them on the field. I'll be looking into these! Great post, TY!
Hey, they're French designed planes called Cri-cri. And dirt cheap! A few thousand (you build it) including the engines! The engine in my Vampire cost more than this whole plane runs. How do ya beat a deal like that! Fully aerobatic too and can maintain a 9 g turn. They're in the ultralight category but I don't know how. They certainly do more than 55 mph which takes them out of that category legally. Now for the bad news....FAA has several reports of fatalities. Well, ya don't want to live forever do ya? π
