Getting started as a DOU recruit {dou-r}

The main thing.

The main thing to keep in mind during your recruit period is that you need to get to know the other members of the clan. These are the people who will be making the decision to make you a full member of DOU at the end of your recruit period. Three areas of participation are important for you because this is where you will find the most interaction with the rest of us.

1) On the servers. DOU has a variety of servers. Most popular by far is the camping/sniper server, closely followed by our new COD4 server. Make your presence known on the servers and be sure to follow the rules.

2) Participate on the forum. Don't stop at making your introduction post and then disappearing. There's many topics of discussion you can participate in.

3) Teamspeak3. This is where you can talk live with other members of DOU as well as some guests. You will need a headset w/mic or at least a microphone and speakers to participate.

KNOW THE RULES!

The rules are posted in the recruit section. Those rules apply to the camping/sniper server only. Read them, follow them.

Please note that as a recruit, you have NO authority to enforce any DOU rule. If you observe a problem player, bring it to the attention of your sponsor. DO NOT engage in retaliation against problem players...for example....assaulting, spawn killing, r&g, ect. "He started it" doesn't cut it as an excuse.

We use teamspeak3 to chat while gaming. Choose the client appropiate for your Operating System.
