Disc Golf

Has anybody else played this? I've found it to be just as if not more fun than regular golf. (And just as frustrating) You also don't go broke buying the equipment.

There is a nice course where I live and there's no green fees. I've checked around my area and I had no idea there was so many courses. All I did was click on this link and put in my zip code to find out what was near by.

If you haven't considered this before, give it a try.

Out here they call it "Frisbee Golf". Yes I used to play it 20 years ago on a course in Huntington Beach CA. Lots of fun, except when it's windy.

They call it that here too. Cygnus has been accused of a lot of things but being smart has never been one of them πŸ˜‰

The object used in the game is called a disc, not a frisbee. You could use a frisbee to play disc golf but you couldn't play catch with a golf disc.

Bison should should try playing catch with a golf disc and see what happens.

Hint: Bison would be celibate for awhile. :redflipoff:

So a golf disc is not a frisbee ? Maybe what I was playing a is bastardized version of the real thing. How is the disc different from the frisbee ?

The plastic is harder and thicker than in a frisbee. There are structural variations in golf discs to make them fly the way you need them too. I've seen people on the course with a bolf bag that had around 20 different discs in it and every one will have a different trajectory if thrown exactly the same way.

Ummm, no. A frisbee is related to a golf disc about as much as a tennis ball is to a golf ball.
