After about 2 weeks of down time, we are finally back!
The host changed our version of php without informing me. I did some work not knowing about this change and the fourm went poof!!!
Fortunately I was able to get some help from the people who code the phpbb3 software, and was able to get this forum back up and running without any loss of data.
